Person Specification
  • Essential:
    • Experience in procurement and contract management, with knowledge of public sector procurement, commercial frameworks, and legal risks.
    • Excellent prioritization, planning, and organizational skills, with a demonstrable ability to manage projects and deliver to time and budget.
    • Strong communication skills, with a demonstrable ability to build effective working relationships and be a team player.
    • Good problem-solving skills, with a demonstrable ability to deliver continuous improvement.
    • Affinity with the work of the Building Better, Building Beautiful Commission, and an understanding of, and willingness to deliver, the Office for Place aims and objectives.
  • Desirable:
    • CIPS qualification in commercial management, or equivalent professional qualification.
    • Contract Management Capability Programme accreditation, or a willingness to undertake this.
    • Experience of risk management.
