Job Title: Mechanic/Plant Fitter

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic/Plant Fitter to join our team at Bss Site Services in Watford, Hertfordshire.

Job Summary:

As a Mechanic/Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy equipment, including 360 excavators, diggers, dumpers, rollers, and other machinery. You will also be required to maintain attachments such as breakers, grapples, shears, and pulverizers, as well as hydraulic hoses for each attachment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair heavy equipment, including 360 excavators, diggers, dumpers, rollers, and other machinery.
  • Maintain attachments such as breakers, grapples, shears, and pulverizers.
  • Repair and maintain hydraulic hoses for each attachment.
  • Use a Jal Test laptop to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Work with a variety of hydraulic systems, including Hitachi and Kobelco 360 tracked excavators/diggers.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Mechanic/Plant Fitter.
  • Good understanding of hydraulics and experience working with hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid CV required.
Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm, with some Saturday shifts as required.
