Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting market and supply chain analysis to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Developing and executing sound source selection processes to identify qualified suppliers
  • Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers to ensure optimal cost, quality, and delivery
  • Working with peers and stakeholders to support business goals, such as supply security, reduction of complexity, and financial targets
  • Executing sourcing tactics of varying complexity in accordance with established category/commodity strategies
  • Participating in sourcing and category commodity strategy formulation
  • Analyzing complex sourcing and procurement initiatives and processes to support the delivery of cost-effective and high-quality goods and services
  • Preparing and presenting recommendations for improvement opportunities and alternative courses of action to senior procurement/sourcing leadership
  • Ensuring consistent application of sourcing procedures and processes
  • Supporting procurement/sourcing management in activities such as price benchmarking, vendor management, industry and market analysis, process analysis, and model building
  • Leading analysis projects/initiatives and providing coaching to less experienced analysts and specialists
  • Negotiating select contracts and developing effective relationships with suppliers

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in a similar position
  • Full understanding of procurement ethics, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to take on new opportunities and challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm
  • Knowledge of the business and marketplace to advance the organization's goals
