Our client is seeking an experienced Fire Engineer to join their team. As a Fire Engineer, you will be responsible for specifying fire safety requirements at the design stage of projects and conducting site visits to ensure compliance with agreed designs.
You will work closely with colleagues across all offices and support fire engineers at all levels on projects. Your primary responsibilities will include managing your own projects, setting and meeting deadlines, and keeping track of your financial performance and budgets.
As a Fire Engineer, you will have the opportunity to develop fire strategy designs using a combination of code compliance and performance-based approaches in various sectors such as residential, commercial, heritage, sports grounds, and healthcare.
You will be expected to stay up-to-date with new technologies and innovations in fire engineering and brief the team where relevant. Additionally, you will continually advance your knowledge and skills in the application of fire engineering principles and relevant legislation through ongoing professional development.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with colleagues across offices and supporting fire engineers at all levels on projects.
- Managing your own projects, setting deadlines, and tracking financial performance and budgets.
- Developing fire strategy designs using code compliance and performance-based approaches in various sectors.
- Staying current with new technologies and innovations in fire engineering and briefing the team as needed.
- Continually advancing your knowledge and skills in fire engineering principles and relevant legislation.
