Academic Lead

Job Summary

The Donaldson Trust is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Education Director to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Learning Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality education and support services to our students.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the development and implementation of education strategies and policies
• Oversee the management of teaching, learning, and opportunity for health and wellbeing
• Develop and support creative approaches to the delivery of learning
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of education initiatives
• Liaise with students, families, external agencies, and partners to ensure effective collaboration and communication

Requirements

• Varied teaching experience, including working with students with complex support needs
• Proven track record of providing leadership and change management within an education setting
• Strong collaboration and influencing skills
• Working knowledge of safeguarding and school improvement processes
• Full GTCS registration and PVG Scheme Record/Update for regulated work with children
