We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities and Security Manager to join our team in Scotland. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and secure running of our facilities in Aberdeen, Inverness, and Glasgow.
This is a key role within our operational and compliance structure, encompassing the responsibility of Ground Services Supervisor for the local Ground Handling team in Aberdeen, as well as the upkeep and security of the facilities in both Aberdeen and Inverness sites.
The Facilities and Security Manager will be responsible for:
Facilities Management- Supporting facilities projects, including office moves, building changes, and refurbishment projects.
- Coordinating third-party contractors to ensure maintenance of the facilities.
- Providing induction training for new starters and contractors.
- Managing building faults and continuous improvement.
- Coordinating emergency repairs.
- Producing and compiling quotes for maintenance and repairs.
- Managing plant and equipment, including routine checks and maintenance.
- Recording and enacting facilities requests.
- Ensuring the continued function, presentation, and legal compliance of facilities.
- Administering company ID pass security systems and ensuring compliance with AGS and HIAL airports Aviation Security protocols.
- Managing security infrastructure, including access control, CCTV, and alarms.
- Conducting internal and external audits.
- Supervising and directing Ground handlers on duty to deliver a safe, efficient, and positive customer experience.
- Ensuring the correct issue and receipt of aviation-grade fuels.
- Maintaining records and planning training events for Ground Handling personnel.
- Directing aircraft towing activities and ensuring routine and ad hoc apron foreign object inspections are undertaken.
- Coordinating all operational tasks associated with handling third-party aircraft.
The ideal candidate will have:
Essential:
- Experience in facilities and security management, with strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance, and operations.
- A passion for service delivery and knowledge of working in a highly regulated industry.
- Competency with Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills with a range of audiences.
- Ability to work independently without supervision.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Flexibility and a 'can-do' attitude.
- Demonstrates initiative and behaves professionally.
- Highly organised and able to prioritise.
Advantageous:
- Previous experience in facilities management within the Aviation sector.
- Good working knowledge of HSE requirements for safe facilities management.
