Care and Support Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care and Support Worker to join our Home Care Team in Cheddar and surrounding areas. As a valued member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, tailored care to support and enrich the lives of our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Support our customers by accompanying them to appointments, shopping, preparing meals, and helping with daily living routines, including washing, dressing, and personal care.
- Provide companionship and make a positive impact on someone's day.
- Understand and implement the care plan in place to support our customers.
- Keep accurate records of the care and support provided at each visit.
- Ensure our customers have eaten and are drinking enough to maintain their health.
- Work collaboratively with the team to raise any concerns regarding our customers.
- Perform light domestic duties and manual handling tasks as required.
- A full valid driving licence and your own vehicle.
- Knowledge of the Cheddar area and ability to commute to Cheddar from your home location.
- Right to work in the UK (unfortunately, we are not able to offer sponsorship).
- Availability to work 7-2 and/or 4-10 across Monday to Sunday on a two-week rolling rota.
- Availability to work alternate weekends.
- Full company induction and ongoing training to gain NVQ & Care qualifications.
- Full and part-time opportunities.
- Competitive pay rate of £12.16 per hour (including a 30p travel enhancement).
- Enhanced pay for nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Mileage rate of 47p, plus MOT scheme and free breakdown cover 24/7.

As this position involves 'regulated activity' (as defined by the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006), an Enhanced DBS check will be undertaken. It's a criminal offence for people who are barred from working in regulated activity (under the Safeguarding and Vulnerable Groups Act 2006) to apply for roles that require them to work unsupervised with that particular group.
