In this position, you will ensure adherence to financial policies, act as a key contact for acquisitions and financial evaluations, and tackle various financial challenges. Key Responsibilities:
Monthly Financial Reporting: Prepare detailed profit and loss statements, post journal entries, and create overhead reports. Invoice Processing: Accurately review and code invoices. Performance Evaluation: Assess the performance of new and existing titles, providing reports across different genres. Budget Management: Develop budgets and forecasts, validate title-specific expenses, and compile KPI reports for distribution. Acquisition Analysis: Conduct profitability assessments on acquisitions, determining suitable bonus structures. Marketing Coordination: Collaborate with the marketing team to evaluate and update marketing budgets. Comprehensive Analysis: Deliver in-depth analysis on authors, titles, and market trends to support informed decision-making. Cross-Department Collaboration: Engage with internal teams such as Group Finance, Royalties, Rights, Contracts, Sales, and Editorial. Financial Communication: Simplify complex financial information for non-financial stakeholders.What you will bring to the role:
Progressing towards or possessing a professional accounting qualification. Strong interpersonal skills. Exceptional attention to detail. Excellent time management and prioritization skills. Highly organized with the capability to work independently and collaboratively. Experience with Power BI is advantageous.Minimum criteria
