  • Ensure adherence to the Eurofins Chemtest Quality Management System, including root cause analysis and effective communication with clients on technical matters.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of analytical instrumentation and equipment, ensuring they are kept in a clean and serviceable condition and that routine maintenance procedures are up to date.
  • Develop and implement business improvement ideas to enhance instrument availability, reduce re-work, and improve the quality of analytical capabilities and client service.
  • Assist in resolving instrument issues when they are out of service.
  • Investigate and conduct non-routine methodology and data generation as required by clients and business needs.
  • Provide advanced analytical expertise to support the organics department.
  • Deliver ongoing training to the organic laboratory team.
  • Respond to client queries in a prompt and professional manner, either directly or in support of colleagues.
Qualifications
  • Science degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a relevant analytical role.
Additional Requirements
  • In-depth understanding of GC & GC-MS methodologies, specifically in the environmental testing/water sector.
  • Familiarity with ISO17025 accreditation requirements (essential) and MCertS (preferable).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Intermediate PC literacy.
  • Advanced analytical experience.
