Job Summary:

The Commercial Manager will be responsible for managing and monitoring commercial and cost reporting aspects of allocated projects and portfolios of works. This includes supporting the programme and project teams to ensure full compliance with contract and corporate governance rules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor commercial and cost reporting aspects of allocated projects and portfolios of works.

  • Support the programme and project teams to ensure full compliance with contract and corporate governance rules.

  • Lead the commercial review and valuation of contractor applications for payment in accordance with contractual terms and conditions and contractual entitlement.

  • Provide proactive advice and guidance on all change, including proposed scope changes.

  • Produce appropriate commercial correspondence and contractual notices for issue in accordance with contractual conditions.

  • Contract administration of industry standard and bespoke forms of contract, including NEC and ICC terms.

  • Ensure that commercial records are retained and archived properly.

  • Manage the final account settlements.

  • Support in the pre-contract procurement of suppliers/main contractors and consultants for projects and programmes.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified or equivalent in construction commercial management.

  • Knowledge of NEC Contracts is desirable.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Collaborative approach to both internal and external stakeholders.
