Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Compliance Officer to join our team at Essential Employment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Network Management, New Roads and Street Works Act 1991, Traffic Management Act 2004, Highways Act 1980, Permit Scheme Regulations 2008, and London Permit Scheme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out regular highways site visits to ensure compliance with the New Roads and Street Works Act, Traffic Management Act, Road Traffic Regulation Act, and Safety at Street Works Code.
  • Risk assess all defects found and prioritize repairs, ensuring that any CDM issues have been highlighted.
  • Identify, register, issue, and maintain records of repairs necessary to maintain the Public Highway.
  • Enforce compliance with NRSWA, LoPS, and TMA, including the issuing of Fixed Penalty Notices.
  • Ensure Section 74 Charge compliance, Section 72 reinstatement defect compliance, and Section 50 planning compliance.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of Network Management, New Roads and Street Works Act 1991, Traffic Management Act 2004, Highways Act 1980, Permit Scheme Regulations 2008, and London Permit Scheme.
  • Experience in highway inspection and/or maintenance.
  • Desirable qualification: New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 supervisor's qualification (City & Guilds Units 1 to 16).

What We Offer:

Essential Employment offers a competitive rate of £30-£32 Umbrella PAYE for this temporary ongoing contract.
