About the Role

Coventry Building Society is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our team. As a key member of our procurement function, you will play a vital role in driving value through strategic purchasing and category planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a procurement strategy that demonstrates the importance of procurement in the effective management of our resources.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure that products and services are sourced competitively, cost-effectively, and in line with relevant policy requirements.
  • Manage major suppliers and negotiate complex contracts.
  • Foster relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, ideally in a Financial Services environment.
  • Identify, report, and mitigate third-party risk.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience of procurement processes, including RFI, RFP, contract drafting, negotiation, and supplier management.
  • Ability to manage a team and mentor colleagues.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and resilience to the demands of a busy and changing environment.
  • MCIPS qualified or aspire to be.
