Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

  • Registered Nurse Level 1 - Adult/General/Mental Health
  • Awareness of current healthcare issues
  • Understanding of clinical governance, risk management, and quality standards
  • Experience working within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Willingness to undertake training for proficiency in SystemOne
  • Experience in appraisal and clinical supervision

Desirable:

  • Experience in mentorship, teaching, or assessing
  • Knowledge of local and national healthcare policies and their implications in a prison setting
  • Familiarity with the Health and Justice agenda
  • Experience in secure environments
  • Experience in health needs assessment and triage
  • Experience with Patient Group Directives
  • Background in chronic disease management or minor injuries
  • Continuing professional development in relevant areas
  • Experience using SystemOne
