We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Officer to join our team at Reed. As a Commercial Officer, you will play a key role in supporting our business development activities, creating commercial proposals, and managing customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial Proposal Development: Assist in the creation of commercial proposals and business-winning activities, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and compliant with company procedures.
- Cost Estimation and Negotiation: Prepare detailed cost estimates and negotiate commercial agreements with customers, ensuring that all terms and conditions are met.
- Contract Management: Manage customer purchase orders and contracts, ensuring that all documentation is approved and compliant with delegated authorities.
- Customer Relationship Management: Maintain good customer relationships and contribute to continuous improvement activities, ensuring that customer needs are met and exceeded.
- Workload Management: Manage workload within an assigned portfolio, addressing any conflicts or priorities, and providing support to meetings and maintaining Commercial Management Plans relevant to the portfolio.
Requirements:
- Education: Degree level education or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline.
- Experience: Proven experience in a commercial role, preferably within similar contracting environments.
- Skills: Resilience and tenacity, strategic thinking, excellent numeracy and communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, intermediate Excel skills, and ERP platforms (Syteline preferred).
- Clearance: Ability to obtain UK SC and/or Known Consignor clearance if required.
