Senior Major Trauma Nurse Coordinator

The post holder will be responsible for providing senior professional, operational, and clinical leadership to promote clinical excellence in the care of patients along the major trauma patient pathway.
Main Responsibilities- Provide strong visible clinical leadership along the pathway of the patient.
- Provide expert and clinical advice and support to the multi-professional team along the major trauma patient pathway.
- Ensure that patients and users are involved in their care, ensuring there is visible evidence that their feedback is used to maintain standards or implement improvements in care along the pathway of the patient.
- Work autonomously to deliver evidence-based services that enhance patient quality care along the major trauma patient pathway.
- Ensure that major trauma patients are managed in the timeliest fashion according to their needs.
- Support the delivery of the UHB's Major Trauma vision for major trauma patients and pathways.
- Support the achievement of Major Trauma Centre performance targets (TQINS).
- Drive through changes and be involved in audit and research to ensure that clinical outcomes and patient experience continually improve.
- Be an advocate and visible point of contact for patients and families.
