Job Title: English Educator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated English Educator to join our team at Positive Futures Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our educational team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality educational activities and experiences to our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the curriculum as prescribed by our educational programs.
  • Effectively plan lessons that are stimulating, relevant, and well-structured to meet the needs of a wide range of abilities and communication styles.
  • Work collaboratively with the Head of Education and other members of the leadership team to ensure the successful delivery of our educational vision and objectives.
  • Deliver effective teaching and learning, and monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and student achievement.
  • Participate in the recruitment and retention of high-quality staff, and ensure an effective induction process for new starters.
  • Work in partnership with all school staff, parents, and other agencies to provide for the academic, spiritual, moral, social, emotional, and cultural well-being of students and their families.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher status.
  • Desirable but not essential, knowledge and experience of the KS3 and 4 curriculum and examinations.
  • Thorough working knowledge of the curriculum and how to adapt this for students with Special Educational Needs.
  • Desirable, experience of working with young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
  • Understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
  • Ability to create and maintain nurturing relationships with students.
  • Experience of managing a range of approaches to learning, including students with anxiety.
  • Knowledge of strategies and visual teaching methods to engage reluctant learners.
  • A flexible approach and high level of creativity.
