Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at Barony Lodge Residential Care Home. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for leading and motivating a team of Housekeeping Assistants to maintain a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate a team of Housekeeping Assistants to ensure they meet their cleaning schedules and maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the home.
  • Work closely with the care team to ensure that residents' needs are met and their living environment is comfortable and safe.
  • Develop and implement effective cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure the home is maintained to a high standard.
  • Monitor and maintain infection control procedures to prevent the spread of infection.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless delivery of care and services.

Requirements

  • Previous experience of providing housekeeping services in a care setting, preferably in a dementia residential setting.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Knowledge of infection control procedures and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team to achieve common goals.
  • Knowledge of NVQ / QCF Level 2 in Catering and Housekeeping or equivalent.
