We are seeking a reliable and organized individual to join our team as a Kitchen Porter at B&Q House. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the dishwash and surrounding areas, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our customers and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the cleanliness of the dishwash and surrounding areas, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Carry out all washing up duties for a busy kitchen and restaurant, ensuring all equipment is clean and sanitized.
  • Clean and sterilize counter tops, walls, and sinks, maintaining a high level of hygiene.
  • Ensure the Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) areas are clean and tidy, creating a positive impression for our customers.
  • Assist with basic food preparation if required, working closely with our kitchen team.
  • Participate in daily and weekly deep cleans, contributing to a clean and safe working environment.
  • Assist with deliveries and organize them in the correct storage areas, ensuring efficient inventory management.
  • Remove waste from waste containers and dispose of them in the correct external bins, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Provide assistance to front of house and kitchen staff as required, demonstrating a team-oriented approach.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a focus on providing a positive experience for our customers.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a flexible approach to duties and a willingness to learn and adapt.
