About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at New Barn School. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and emotional needs of our students with complex Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with complex SEMH needs in a therapeutic and nurturing environment
  • Assist with lesson planning and preparation, including preparing learning materials and running classroom activities
  • Provide emotional and physical support to students, helping them to develop as individuals and engage with the world
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students
