An experienced Wholesale Distribution Manager is required for the Southampton location. This demanding position necessitates flexibility in working hours, including evenings and weekends. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the successful applicant must demonstrate exceptional leadership, communication, time management, and organizational abilities to ensure outstanding customer service and cultivate enduring relationships with clients.

The ideal candidate will thrive as a leader, showcasing sound commercial judgment in customer-focused decisions.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • In-depth knowledge of floral products
  • Enhancing Cash & Carry profitability through strategic sales, margin, and overhead management
  • Overseeing daily product availability through precise sales forecasting and ordering
  • Creating a customer-centric work environment
  • Encouraging a positive atmosphere for both employees and customers, emphasizing pride in work and high levels of customer service
  • Supporting commercial sales initiatives and identifying avenues for growth
  • Monitoring competitor activities and pricing to provide insights and improve customer satisfaction
  • Managing debt and inventory within the Cash & Carry
  • Ensuring appropriate staffing levels and team training according to the induction process
  • Adhering to statutory HR requirements
  • Promoting a safe working environment and ensuring team compliance with health and safety regulations
