Role Overview
Stott and May is seeking an experienced Data Centre Shift Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our data centre facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on electrical and mechanical systems, including lighting installations, fault-finding, and lamp replacements.
• Conduct regular emergency lighting tests to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Troubleshoot and maintain control panels, replacing ballast in lighting systems as needed.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS), including hot and cold readings, to optimize system performance.
• Perform routine maintenance on Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) systems, including pumps, motors, and air handling units.
• Maintain accurate records and log books to track maintenance activities and system performance.
• Address basic plumbing issues and perform water treatment tasks, including monitoring tap temperatures and flushing systems.
Requirements:
• City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical certification or equivalent.
• Ability to provide copies of relevant trade certificates and certifications.
• Proven track record in commercial building maintenance, with experience in data centre or critical infrastructure environments.
• Multi-skilled across various aspects of M&E maintenance, with a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
