Clinical Lead Mental Health and Deputy Head of Healthcare

Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead Mental Health and Deputy Head of Healthcare to join our team at Bradbury House, a busy NHS respite facility in Binley, Coventry.
About the RoleWe provide 24-hour nursing respite care to children and young people aged between 5 and 19 years old with diagnosed learning disabilities and complex behaviours. The successful candidate will provide clinical and managerial leadership to the staff team, attend meetings, and work as part of a multidisciplinary team in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive packages of care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the manager in creating a secure and stable environment, considering the physical, psychological, and social needs of the children, young people, and adults who access the service.
- Support the manager in continuously improving service quality, responding to local and national demands in respect of respite provision.
- Hold a caseload independently, working as part of the multi-disciplinary team, for children and adults with learning disabilities, physical health needs, and/or behaviours of concern.
- Be competent in performing behavioural management/patient safety intervention/nursing skills appropriate to the service users.
- Undertake comprehensive and specific assessments of the children, adults, and their families' needs, in partnership with other disciplines/agencies.
- Assume responsibility in medical situations, drawing on knowledge, skills, and experience to confidently manage the situation to its resolution.
- Work in partnership with others to assess and identify the needs of the children/adults, considering parenting/carer capacity, the environment, and the individual's needs.
- Follow processes of reasoning that balance additional information against the overall picture of the children/adults' needs, to develop a hypothesis.
- Decide upon interventions from a holistic assessment of the children/adults' needs.
- Undertake risk assessments.
