Job Title: Academy Site Manager

MES SPEN Framework Contract is seeking a highly skilled Site Manager to join our Construction Team in Central Scotland.

As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of all SPEN underground assets, as well as installing new connections and network investment works.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with clients, project team members, and stakeholders.
  • Manage variations and valuations, ensuring timely submission and settlement.
  • Oversee health, safety, quality, and environmental issues, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Manage human resources, including training and development of site operatives.
  • Handle customer issues effectively, ensuring satisfactory resolutions.
  • Maintain high-quality work standards, controlling overtime and wages payments.
  • Conduct site inspections to identify and address potential issues.
  • Monitor project/contract performance, identifying areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Technical civil construction knowledge, including HAUC and NRSWA.
  • Awareness of SPEN Policies and procedures, including distribution power engineering.
  • Commercial awareness and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Computer literacy and ability to motivate site operatives.
  • Compliance with MES policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
