Job Overview

The Play Scheme Coordinator will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our play schemes, upholding the high standards set by Wave Active. This position requires a team player who can provide exceptional customer service, maintain a fun and safe environment, and adhere to our rules and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging play activities that meet the needs of children and promote their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure effective customer service, enthusiasm, and pride in the work we do.
  • Maintain accurate records of accidents and incidents, and consult with children to plan activities that cater to their individual and group needs.
  • Adhere to our policies and procedures, including safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive play environment that promotes social skills, teamwork, and respect for others.

Person Specification

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm, composed, and courteous under pressure.
  • Quick reaction in emergency situations and ability to avoid risks and hazards.
  • Driven and enthusiastic individual with a passion for providing exceptional service and engaging with children.
  • Team player who takes pride in their role and is flexible to the changing demands of the business.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Level 3 Child Care/Play Work/Sport Coaching qualification.
  • Knowledge of COSHH regulations and first aid certificate.
  • Coaching qualification and experience in organizing leisure/creative/sport sessions.
