We are seeking an experienced musculoskeletal physiotherapist to join our team as a Band 7 Advanced Physiotherapist. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a multi-disciplinary Sports and Exercise Medicine (SEM) team, providing outstanding care pathway management for military personnel.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for diagnostic assessments of patients referred to the RRU from across Defence Healthcare. You will work closely with the SEM Consultant and a Band 7 Podiatrist, leading with clinical and healthcare governance. You will also have opportunities to visit the 13 primary care rehabilitation facilities (PCRFs) that refer into the RRU specialist services.

Key Responsibilities- Acting as the musculoskeletal clinical rehabilitation specialist within the RRU Multi-Disciplinary Injury Assessment Clinic (MIAC).
- Diagnostic assessments of patients referred to the RRU from across Defence Healthcare.
- Assisting the MIAC consultant in appropriately referring patients for clinical imaging and secondary care, in line with national and local guidelines.
- Consistent background in musculoskeletal injury management and/or Sports and Exercise Medicine.
- Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) Registered Physiotherapist.
- Appropriate Master of Science (MSc) / Level 7 equivalent postgraduate qualification or evidence of actively working towards one.
