About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Tunneling Engineer to join our team at AtkinsRéalis. As a key member of our Ground Engineering and Tunnelling (GE&T) Practice, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality tunnelling projects and expanding our capabilities in this field.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Tunneling team with strategic bids and business development initiatives.
- Develop and maintain a network of business contacts to contribute to the growth of the Tunneling disciplines.
- Integrate the team with our technical discipline and market leads.
- Mentor early career team members and contribute to the development of our team's skills and expertise.
Requirements
- A strong academic background with a relevant degree (ideally MSc or equivalent).
- Chartered status in civil or structural engineering (a requirement).
- Excellent interpersonal and technical skills, with the ability to develop and lead tunnelling design teams.
- Project management experience, including relationships with clients, work planning, and commercial management.
- Proven tunnelling design experience in a fast-moving engineering consultancy environment.
- Proven experience using advanced constitutive soil models and numerical modelling software (FLAC or PLAXIS).
- Proven experience using advanced structural analysis and numerical modelling software (Robot or STAAD).
- Application of CDM Regulations.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence to liaise with clients.
- Excellent report writing skills, with the ability to self-check and produce accurate work.
- A willingness to travel on short assignments both within the UK and overseas.

Additional Information
