**Job Summary**
We are seeking an experienced Utilities Technical Lead to join our team at Red Sky Personnel. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of utility systems, including water, gas, electric, and sewage services.
About the Role
This is a challenging and rewarding position that involves a blend of fieldwork and office-based tasks. You will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing projects that maintain and improve/enhance/alter utility infrastructure. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including government bodies, contractors, and the public, to ensure that utility services meet current contract requirements and technical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and oversee the construction of utilities supply systems as infrastructure projects to ensure they meet regulatory standards and stakeholder needs.
- Perform hydraulic modeling and analysis to determine the performance of existing utility systems.
- Understand maintenance schedules applied to utility equipment and infrastructure to ensure works align with reliability of service and compliance with safety standards.
- Coordinate with local stakeholders to meet environmental regulations and ensure infrastructure projects align with public policy and community plans.
- Prepare detailed project reports and presentations for stakeholders, including cost estimates, phasing, design, project timelines, and the impact of utility projects on the local community and environment.
- Evaluate new technologies and methods for utility system improvement, including renewable energy integration, water reclamation, and smart grid applications.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in utilities engineering and infrastructure projects. You will also need to have excellent communication and project management skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.
