Job Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our Bookkeeping Department at Accountancy Expertise Ltd.

About the Role: As the Head of Bookkeeping, you will be responsible for overseeing the bookkeeping, management accounts, and VAT for a diverse portfolio of clients, including independent businesses and charities. You will also manage a small team of 3 staff members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the bookkeeping, management accounts, and VAT for a varied client base.
  • Lead a team of 3 staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure the smooth operation of the Bookkeeping Department.
  • Develop and implement effective bookkeeping and financial management systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their financial needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and best practices, ensuring the department remains compliant and efficient.

Requirements:

  • At least 4-5 years of experience in bookkeeping, VAT, and management accounts, preferably in a practice setting.
  • Professional qualification such as AAT or equivalent by experience.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage.
