Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Director to drive the highest levels of performance and quality across all segmented verticals and sales channels, creating value for our customers as well as Hapag-Lloyd AG.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all sales matters related to the Area, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Guide, coach, and instruct the Area sales team to achieve sales targets and improve business performance.
  • Drive and direct the sales organization to achieve all targets set for the Area, leveraging market insights and competitor analysis.
  • Monitor customer performance and take action to improve business where needed, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Stay aware of competition activity and market developments that may impact the business, adapting strategies accordingly.
  • Adhere to the principles of the Commercial Blueprint and CXS projects, ensuring seamless execution and integration.
  • Participate in and support Global and Regional sales projects, contributing to the development of sales strategies and initiatives.
  • Review customer survey results and implement measures to improve customer satisfaction, collaborating with other relevant departments.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with senior customer contacts, fostering strong partnerships and driving business growth.
  • Promote the usage of new and existing products offered by Hapag-Lloyd AG, ensuring customers are aware of the latest offerings and solutions.
  • Liaise with the sales management teams in other Areas, ensuring alignment and coordination across regions.
  • Collaborate with the management teams in other departments to improve customer experience, driving business excellence and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • University degree or at least 5 years of experience leading commercial teams, preferably in the maritime industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to review data accuracy, identify root causes, and develop ideas resulting in stronger business performance.
