Job Summary
Handle Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Event Producer to join their team. As an Event Producer, you will be responsible for the planning and implementation of exceptional online and in-person events.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Research: Conduct in-depth market and industry research to develop strong topical and commercially successful event agendas.
- Event Concept Development: Investigate and generate new and creative topic and format ideas in alignment with business goals.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Develop strong engaging relationships with key stakeholders, shareholders, advisors, associations, and senior government representatives.
- Event Strategy: Work with the Group Director/CEO to produce a strong strategy for future direction of the events.
- Content Creation: Keep the news feed regularly updated with content on the Beyond Privilege platform.
- Client Management: Manage long-term supporters as well as connect with and build relationships with new clients, speakers, and media partners.
- Marketing Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to help produce promotional materials for the event programs.
- Sponsorship and Sales: Work with and direct the sponsorship team and delegate sales team to ensure commercial targets are met.
Requirements
- Experience: Previous experience producing high-quality conferences with demonstrable success in growing both the delegate and sponsorship revenue through the production of commercial programs is a must.
- Skills: Enthusiastic & confident with a creative and imaginative approach to production, ability to think outside of the traditional conference realm to produce exciting events, proven ability for strategic thinking and forward planning, excellent team player, proactive, results-driven, and highly motivated.
- Adaptability: Resilient, motivated, and a starter/finisher, with excellent project management and delivery skills, easily adaptable to changing markets & situations, flexibility to adapt production strategy to a startup portfolio as it adapts to learnings and at times changes direction while growing.
- Communication: Excellent communicator - great verbal and written communications skills that can translate into trusting long-term client relationships.
- Travel: Must be able to travel for events when needed.
- Language: French speaking is desirable but not essential.
- Interest: An interest in Africa's energy and infrastructure sector and youth employment, and a strong willingness to learn.
