About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Data Science to lead our AI and Machine Learning initiatives. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving innovation and transformation across the business.

As the Head of Data Science, you will take ownership of AI and advanced analytics across the business, leading the development, deployment, and ongoing management of AI/ML models. You will play a critical role in shaping the future of data science within the company, ensuring compliance with regulatory and ethical standards, and building and maintaining strong governance and risk management frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end development and deployment of AI, ML, and LLM projects.
  • Manage a high-performing team of data scientists, fostering collaboration and growth.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and ethical standards across all AI/ML initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong governance and risk management frameworks.
  • Engage with senior leaders to communicate strategies and outcomes.
  • Stay on top of the latest advancements in AI/ML to drive innovation.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to integrate advanced analytics into business operations for smarter decision-making.
  • Track and monitor AI/ML model performance, identifying areas for continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
  • A proven leader with experience in managing AI and ML technologies.
  • Experience within Banking or Financial Services
  • Expertise in developing and implementing risk management strategies.
  • Strong people management skills, mentoring junior team members and guiding the AI vision.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and work across teams to deliver innovative solutions.
  • A passion for ethical AI and ensuring all practices meet high compliance standards.
