Finance Assistant Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our team at Groundwork NE & Cumbria. As a key member of our Finance Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process sales invoices for funding, rental, and room hire
  • Ensure accurate coding and entry of invoices onto our Sage accounting package
  • Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up with statements and calls to secure payment
  • Verify invoices against purchase orders to ensure accuracy
  • Provide excellent communication and support to our project teams
  • Assist with year-end audit and other special finance tasks as required
Requirements:
  • Experience in an office role, preferably in finance or accounting
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Proficiency in Excel and accounting software, such as Sage
