Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Operative to join our team at MCR Property Group in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced and thriving business with opportunities for growth and development.
MCR Property Group is a leading independent real estate investment and development company with a strong UK presence. Our primary focus lies in developing new residential and industrial projects and managing a diverse portfolio, which includes around 5,000 residential plots and commercial/industrial assets exceeding £2 billion in value.
We are entering an exhilarating phase of growth and are looking for bright, personable, and self-driven individuals who have a genuine passion for real estate. As a Maintenance Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks and repairs in residential, commercial, and industrial properties.
- Perform minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC repairs.
- Inspect and maintain building systems and equipment.
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Install, repair, and replace fixtures and appliances.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Coordinate with other team members to ensure smooth workflow.
- Communicate with property managers and tenants as necessary.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a handyman or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of general maintenance and repair tasks.
- Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to use hand and power tools effectively and safely.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to travel to various job sites in and around Manchester.
- Availability for occasional evening or weekend work as needed.
- Cladding experience (desirable)
- Must have own tools
