Position Overview

Metal Fabrication Specialist - Permanent Role

Join our dynamic team at Manufacturing Recruitment LTD, where you will be engaged in the production of high-quality metal enclosures. This role requires a diverse skill set and the use of various tools and machinery. Security clearance may be required, and we are prepared to assist in obtaining this if necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate sheet metal components through processes such as punching, forming, and welding.
  • Perform welding tasks on lightweight steel materials.
  • Participate in all phases of product manufacturing, ensuring quality and efficiency.
  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings accurately.
  • Achieve production and quality targets as set by management.
  • Contribute to waste reduction initiatives and enhance operational efficiencies.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Engage in training programs to develop skills and knowledge.

Essential Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Fabrication and Welding or equivalent experience.
  • Proven technical knowledge in fabrication processes.
  • Familiarity with a range of machinery including welders, saws, and other fabrication tools.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with CNC operations, soldering, and braising.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills, ideally with GCSE grade 4 or above.
