Role Overview: The Merchandise Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting the Global Supply and Demand Manager (GSDM) by providing comprehensive administrative assistance and ensuring that all stakeholders are kept informed about ongoing plans.

Collaboration: This position requires regular interaction with Sales and Marketing teams to contribute to planning efforts and gather essential information to facilitate supply chain management.

Company Background: With over three decades of experience, the company operates across various product categories, including arts & crafts, toys, and play items.

Forecast Management: Assist the Supply and Demand Manager in maintaining precise Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and forecasts by analyzing sales data and conducting regular forecast reviews with National Account Managers (NAMs) within a structured monthly process for both new and existing products.

Performance Analysis: Continuously assess market sales performance against forecasts and inventory levels, adapting purchasing strategies to prevent unproductive overstock situations or stockouts across all markets.

New Product Development: Contribute technical and supply chain insights to the new product development process, ensuring that logistical and operational specifications are tailored to meet local market needs.

Supplier Relations: Cultivate and manage relationships with suppliers in the UK and EU, while supporting the Brand Management team in product range selection.

Shipping Management: Oversee the shipping process from purchase order generation to tracking and delivery, ensuring that the business and SAP systems are consistently updated with expected receipt and booking dates.

Skills Required: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, along with a solid understanding of planning tools, MRPs, and SAP systems. The ideal candidate will be a problem solver who can analyze data to objectively assess options.
