About the Trainee Estimator Role

Fawkes & Reece West Midlands is a leading regional main contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects. We are currently seeking a Trainee Estimator to join our team in Solihull.

Job Summary

The successful Trainee Estimator will work closely with a Senior Estimator to tender for projects in the region. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the construction industry and develop your skills in quantity surveying and cost estimation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of tender documents and estimates
  • Work closely with the Senior Estimator to develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development of project proposals and business cases
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects
Requirements
  • Educated to degree/OND/HND level or equivalent in quantity surveying or construction-related field
  • Some experience in civil engineering, quantity surveying, or cost estimation
  • Computer literacy, including MS Office software
  • Driven, hardworking, with an ability to use own initiative
  • Organised, analytical, and accurate
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
