Role Overview

The primary responsibility is to ensure the efficient operation of the recycling facility. This includes managing staff schedules, addressing absences, and overseeing holiday requests. You will be tasked with recruiting and managing a pool of candidates to guarantee that the facility is adequately staffed at all times. Additionally, you will focus on maintaining customer satisfaction and upholding the company’s reputation for exceptional service and compliance.

The Onsite Talent Acquisition Specialist will develop expertise in the sector, gaining insights into all facets of the business to effectively recruit, train, and support the optimal workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pre-screen candidates for suitability before interviews and conduct registrations
  • Prepare and deliver specific client inductions and assessments as required
  • Utilize the company database to identify suitable candidates for client vacancies
  • Manage temporary staff availability to meet client demands
  • Screen and shortlist CVs in accordance with job order requests, ensuring quality and alignment with client expectations
  • Inform candidates about job responsibilities, salary, and benefits
  • Complete weekly payroll processes
  • Ensure proper distribution of PPE and uniforms, promoting adherence to safety protocols
  • Meet induction requirements for both Smart and client standards, ensuring compliance with health and safety practices
  • Coordinate staff holidays in collaboration with client holiday planners to ensure full coverage

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Essential previous experience in a recruitment role
  • Working knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
  • Understanding of waste and recycling operations is advantageous
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent proficiency in English, both written and spoken
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • Ability to multitask effectively under pressure
  • Flexible and adaptable approach is crucial
