Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Reliability Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and efficiency of our warehouse and delivery network.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Health and Safety: Role model health and safety best practices and monitor those around you to ensure they follow the example you set.
  2. Equipment Maintenance: Work in a hands-on manner and demonstrate SME levels of knowledge on all MHE in the building.
  3. Team Coaching: Coach and mentor technicians on shift to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  4. Equipment Availability: Provide high levels of equipment availability to our internal customers by means of troubleshooting and prioritizing.
  5. Continuous Improvement: Support continuous improvement of systems in a standard manner across the EU network.
  6. Relationship Building: Develop and maintain a good working relationship across all levels in the organization.
  7. Metrics and Reporting: Understand and manage OEE and equipment performance metrics.
  8. Contractor Management: Manage contractors and ensure they are working to the required standards.
  9. Equipment Training: Coach and mentor the operational team on correct use of equipment.
  10. Ticket Management: On-site support and responsibility for management and escalation of high severity tickets.
  11. Spare Parts Management: Manage critical spare parts inventory utilizing EAM system.
  12. Planned Maintenance: Co-ordinate/execute planned preventative maintenance on the full range of MHE equipment within the site.
Requirements
  1. Qualifications: Served a full Engineering indentured apprenticeship and/or qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant Engineering subject.
  2. Experience: Multi-skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines with relevant experience in automation or complex MHE environments.
  3. Knowledge: Solid foundational knowledge of PLC based controls systems.
  4. CMMS Experience: Experience using CMMS to plan proactive maintenance and record reactive tasks.
  5. Statutory Compliance: Knowledge of Statutory Compliance requirements.
  6. Language Skills: Ability to communicate (written & verbal) in English and the local language at CEFR Level B2 or higher.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Leadership Experience: Proven ability to supervise and influence others on the team.
  2. Multi-Tasking: Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize many different projects and workload.
  3. Contractor Management: Experience of multi-contractor management.
  4. Multi-Site Experience: Experience in a multi-site environment.
  5. Fault Finding: Experience in fault finding on building equipment i.e. HVAC, Dock Doors, plumbing and general building maintenance tasks.
