About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Penetration Tester to join our team at Blair West. As a key member of our security team, you will play a central role in delivering a combination of project and support-based work in a fast-paced collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Thorough Assessments: Conduct thorough and detailed application and penetration testing assessments to identify vulnerabilities and provide actionable remediation and recommendations.
  • Perform Vulnerability Assessments: Perform vulnerability and attack surface assessments to ensure the security of our clients' systems and networks.
  • Support Client Engagement: Assist with client pre-engagement activities, including scoping and drafting proposals to ensure timely delivery of penetration testing projects.
  • Deliver High-Quality Reports: Create clear and concise reports, tailored for both technical and non-technical audiences, to communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends: Research and investigate new technologies, security topics, and vulnerabilities to contribute to the team's knowledge and responsible disclosure efforts.
  • Mentor and Coach: Provide coaching and mentorship to Graduate and Junior penetration testers when applicable.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: A qualification in an IT Security subject or Computer Sciences.
  • Industry Certifications: Relevant industry certifications, such as CompTIA, GIAC, OffSec, EC-Council, or CREST.
  • Experience: Experience working in a SOC/Security team, including penetration testing, using standard industry tools and custom scripts, of at least one of the following: Web Applications; On premise Infrastructure, Cloud Infrastructure; or Mobile Applications.
  • Technical Skills: An excellent understanding of current and new IT security technologies, breaches, and trends, as well as good general understanding of Infrastructure and standard network technologies, including cloud and/or hybrid environments (GCP, AWS, and Azure).
  • Programming Skills: Experience with Linux, and proficiency in scripting languages, such as Python or Bash.
  • Clearance: Eligibility for BPSS/SC clearance.
