Join Our Team as an Assistant Cook

We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Assistant Cook to join our team at Bernards Heath Infant School. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality meals to our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook meals, including special dietary requirements
  • Clean and maintain the kitchen and dining areas
  • Stocktake and order supplies
  • Manage budgets and maintain financial records
  • Adhere to our Food Safety Management System and Health & Safety protocols
  • Provide excellent customer service to students and staff
  • Deputise for the Cook Manager in their absence
Requirements:
  • Passion for food and cooking
  • Previous catering experience is desirable
  • Able to manage and motivate a team
  • Food hygiene level 2 (training will be provided)
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices
  • Excellent timekeeping and reliability
  • Fluent communication skills in English
