About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our team as an Advanced Practitioner or Team Manager. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social work services to children and families in Oldham.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake purposeful professional assessments to identify and address the needs of children and families.
  • Use strength-based restorative approaches to promote a culture of working 'with' children and their families.
  • Work directly with families to identify and assess individual children and young people's social, emotional, educational, occupational, recreational, and cultural needs.
  • Keep all recordings up to date and child-focused, reflecting the voice of the child and their daily lived experience.
  • Ensure clarity of the source of information and detail what is fact and what is professional judgment.
  • Assess, evaluate, and review programs of work with children, young people, and families, including the coordination of services to children who are the subjects of multi-agency protection plans or who are children in care.
  • Attend multi-agency meetings, reviews, and conferences as required and represent the Local Authority in Court Proceedings.
  • Work in partnership with colleagues within the multi-agency service and with external agencies to ensure plans for children are implemented and outcomes are recorded.
  • Engage in individual and group supervision with managers and practice leads.
Requirements
  • Social Work Qualification or equivalent.
  • Social Work England registered.
  • Enhanced DBS.
