About the Company:

A leading Hospitality Group with a growing presence in Manchester is seeking an experienced Financial Accounting Manager to join their team.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of statutory accounts for all group companies and liaison with the auditors on disclosure notes and filing where required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly balance sheet and cash flow reports for the group, where required.
  • Prepare and reconcile quarterly VAT submissions and liaise with HMRC where required.
  • Prepare and provide supporting information for the annual UK corporation returns and computations, including deferred tax computations for the group and liaise with tax advisors where required.
  • Liaise with the UK and Group Finance teams, Auditors, Company Secretary, HMRC and tax advisors for all statutory entities where required.
  • Support the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts in collaboration with management and department heads.
  • Work closely and gather financial data from the portfolio team, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial statements as requested by the Group finance team.
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations.
  • Support and maintain effective internal control procedures to safeguard the Group and Company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.

Requirements:

  • Strong accounting and financial management skills.
  • Experience in statutory accounts preparation and audit liaison.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
