This role involves working in collaboration with the National Probation Service to deliver mental health treatment requirements. As a Psychologist, you will be integrated into probation offices, enhancing the psychological care of clients within the Criminal Justice System (CJS). Your responsibilities will include conducting psychological assessments and interventions, following established plans and protocols.

Our service is psychology-led, emphasizing the importance of psychological assessment and formulation in our offerings.

Experience with therapeutic modalities such as CBT, EMDR, and Compassion Focused Therapy is advantageous, though training will be provided to develop these skills.

Our division specializes in creating and delivering community-based services. We offer a variety of programs, including a private therapy clinic, Medico-Legal Services, Diagnostic Assessment Clinics, and more. We also support initiatives aimed at mental wellness in schools and provide comprehensive development plans for professional growth.

Role and Candidate Profile

You will be responsible for delivering tailored psychological therapy to meet the needs of service users. You will also supervise assistant psychologists, guiding them in a structured treatment approach while collaborating on complex cases. Supervision will be provided by a consultant psychologist, fostering your professional development.

Our community-based service allows for appointments in local areas and remotely. A valid driver's license or access to reliable public transport is essential. In return, you will enjoy the flexibility of working from home when appropriate.
