The Estates Department at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Facilities Maintenance Specialist. This is a rare opportunity to work within a large healthcare estate and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Main Responsibilities- Carry out minor and general maintenance work, including door locks, fire seals, fire doors, and window checks.
- Interpret and work from instructions, drawings, and specifications to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
- Undertake routine maintenance (PPM) to ensure the smooth operation of facilities.
- Liaise with key stakeholders regarding building maintenance and new minor work schemes.
- Completion of a recognized and registered CITB or EIBT or C&G apprenticeship (4 years or an equivalent level of knowledge gained in a shorter time).
- Current driving license with the ability to drive category B.
- The post holder should not amass 12 points within any 3-year period. For new drivers, they should not amass 6 points within the first 2 years of passing their test.
