Advanced Nurse Practitioner

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our Minor Injuries Unit team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for autonomously assessing, treating, and discharging patients aged over 1 year, and referring to appropriate in-patient specialties, primary care agencies, and other healthcare professionals as necessary.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and manage minor injury presentations as an autonomous practitioner
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans to meet the needs of patients
- Refer patients to appropriate in-patient specialties, primary care agencies, and other healthcare professionals as necessary
- NMC Registered Nurse
- Post-registration qualification in the management of minor injuries
- Sufficient emergency care or MIU experience
- Desirable: completion of advanced clinical assessment or independent prescribing
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care. As a Trainee ANP, you will be employed on Annex 21 terms and will undergo a supported training pathway to achieve ANP sign-off.
