Role Overview
As a Lead Care Support Specialist at MHA, you will guide and motivate a dedicated team of care assistants to deliver exceptional care to our residents, ensuring they enjoy a fulfilling later life. Your responsibilities will encompass assisting residents with personal care needs and facilitating their participation in a variety of activities that promote their health and wellbeing. Additionally, you will be responsible for administering medication and maintaining precise and thorough records. Each day will present new challenges, allowing you to leverage your leadership and interpersonal skills to make a significant impact.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate for the Lead Care Support Specialist role will possess a genuine passion for caring for older individuals, have prior experience in the care sector, and hold at least an NVQ level 2 or equivalent in health and social care, with a willingness to pursue level 3. You should have a proven track record in leading, coaching, and inspiring a team to provide high-quality care. A compassionate, warm, and caring demeanor is essential, along with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team while also demonstrating initiative. Strong communication, patience, and listening skills are critical. You should excel in maintaining accurate records, managing time efficiently, and prioritizing tasks. If you can lead by example, foster positive relationships, and energize your colleagues to deliver outstanding care, we would be eager to hear from you.
