An exciting opportunity exists for a Lead Fire Investigation Specialist to become part of our esteemed team, located in Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Visiting incident sites to document and gather evidence, as well as interviewing witnesses
  • Serving as the principal investigator for complex cases, focusing on the origin, cause, and progression of incidents
  • Collaborating with experts from other parties involved
  • Generating consistently high-quality, detailed, and precise technical reports
  • Providing expert witness testimony when necessary
  • Utilizing Jensen Hughes' case management system to log all case-related activities
  • Participating in joint examinations, employing specialist skills as required
  • Maintaining and enhancing technical knowledge and skills through ongoing professional development
  • Participating in marketing events
  • Creating and delivering articles/presentations for training or promotional purposes
  • Representing Jensen Hughes at meetings and conferences as a company ambassador
  • Mentoring developing investigators

Qualifications and Experience

  • Applicants should possess relevant experience and/or qualifications in fire investigation, fire engineering, forensic science, or a related field
  • Strong analytical abilities and the capacity to apply scientific methods to forensic analysis
  • Excellent communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work autonomously
  • Willingness to travel frequently across the UK and Ireland, with potential for some international travel
