We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Substance Misuse Specialist Nurse to join our team at Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals struggling with substance misuse issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive recovery plans with individuals, taking into account their unique needs and circumstances.
  • Manage a caseload of complex service users, including those with safeguarding concerns, mental health issues, and substance misuse problems.
  • Provide 1:1 key working and group work, as well as medical reviews, BBV interventions, and community-based recovery support.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver effective interventions and support services.
  • Work closely with service users, families, and carers to provide advice, information, and support.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse qualification and degree in a health-related subject.
  • Postgraduate qualification and experience in substance misuse nursing.
  • Excellent knowledge and skills in mental health and substance misuse, with a strong understanding of the recovery agenda.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing complex cases and prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
