Supporting Vulnerable Children and Young People

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as an Aspiring Clinical Psychologist. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable children and young people.

As a Support Worker, you will work closely with students aged 4-19 who require additional support due to special educational needs, social, emotional, and mental health challenges. Your role will involve identifying risks and needs, escalating where necessary, and providing consistency and equipping children and young people with tools to ensure they feel safe, secure, empowered, and able to succeed in life.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a caring, compassionate, and good listener. If you have a Psychology, Sociology, or Criminology degree, this role will give you excellent practical experience working with SEN students in a relevant field before taking your next step.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support students with special educational needs and associated social, emotional, and mental health challenges
  2. Identify risks and needs, escalating where necessary
  3. Provide consistency and equip children and young people with tools to ensure they feel safe, secure, empowered, and able to succeed in life
  4. Build robust and effective relationships with students
  5. Remain calm and resilient when placed in situations of stress or conflict

What We Offer

Excellent on-site training, support, and CPD is provided. Salary: £80-£90 per day, Mon-Fri, 08:30 to 16:30, PAYE, term time only. No previous experience is required. If you have a Psychology / Criminology / Social Science degree, it's an excellent use of your degree. You MUST have the right to work in the UK in order to apply - no Visa sponsorship.
