About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Installation Manager to oversee daily activities for BUTTERFIELD SIGNS LTD. The ideal candidate will have a sharp business mind and proven success in managing multiple installation teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the installation department and teams daily, ensuring efficient operations and adherence to company procedures.
- Schedule work for installation teams using the BOSS system, ensuring timely completion of projects.
- Brief installation crews, including subcontractors, on works required, in conjunction with Project Managers.
- Liaise with Project Managers regarding installations, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance team daily for assistance with call-outs and resolving installation-related issues.
- Liaise with the Production/Production Coordinator regarding job product updates, ensuring timely delivery of materials.
- Arrange deliveries and collections for the business, in conjunction with Production, to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure installation reports, including those from subcontractors, are thorough and include detailed fixing information, aiding future digitization of handover reports.
- Recruit and manage installers for the business, conducting interviews and performance evaluations.
- Conduct disciplinary actions, toolbox talks, and appraisals as needed, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
- Collaborate with the Health and Safety Manager to ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
- Source and communicate with subcontractors for installation works, ensuring pre-agreement of job costs and minimum van stocks.
- Assist with Health and Safety for installations, working in conjunction with the Health and Safety Manager.
- Collate, file, and assess subcontractor training documents and company details.
- Liaise with Production regarding job product updates and completion for loading to site.
- Collate products from departments for the installation teams to load.
Requirements
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Market knowledge and understanding.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build rapport with colleagues and clients.
- Strong time management and planning skills.
- Prior experience in the sign industry or construction is preferred.
